Jamshedpur, Oct 18: The nomination process for the Jharkhand Assembly Elections 2024 commenced today, marked by the prominent entry of journalist and social worker Anni Amrita. She purchased her nomination form to contest from the 49 Jamshedpur West Assembly constituency, accompanied by her advocate Sudhir Kumar Pappu and proposer Kundan Singh.

Anni Amrita, a well-known figure in Jharkhand’s journalism scene, announced her intention to run as an independent candidate during a press conference earlier this year in January. Recognized for her bold and outspoken approach, she has dedicated nearly two decades to public service through journalism. Her career includes significant roles, such as serving as the Kolhan Bureau Head and Chief Reporter for ETV Bihar/Jharkhand, as well as a Bureau Head position at News 11 for one year.
