Jamshedpur, Aug 27: Over hundred anganbari staff staged a demonstration before the residence of Chief Minister Raghubar Das at Agrico in support of their various demands on Tuesday. They mainly demanded Rs 18,000 as honorarium for anganbari Sevikas, Rs 9000 as honorarium for Sahayikas, social security benefits, fixing 65 year as retirement age and benefits of gratuity and provident fund at par with their Bihar counterparts. The protestors handed a petition to the staff of CM�s residential office.
Anganbari Sevika Sahayika Karmachari Sangh had announced its plan to gherao the CM�s residence earlier. District police had made tight security arrangement outside the house. Before going for demonstration, the protestors gathered at Agrico ground and raised slogans in support of their demands.
The protestors included Krishna Singh, Bindu rani, Kanti, Shanti, Rupa, Pushpa, Sanu and Vinita Singh.
