Andhra Association English School honours academic achievers

Jamshedpur, August 2: Andhra Association English School, Kadma, celebrated its 46th Annual Prize Nite 2025 with enthusiasm and grandeur on Saturday evening. Held at the school auditorium the event honoured academic excellence and showcased colourful cultural performances.

The celebration began with a warm welcome to the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour, K. Venugopal Rao and M. Bhaskar Rao, both Trustees of Andhra Association. They were felicitated with bouquets and khandwas, followed by a welcome address and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. A soulful Ganesh Vandana by students lent a spiritual start to the programme.

Principal Piyali Mukherjee presented the school’s Annual Report, highlighting key achievements over the past academic year. General Secretary Y.K. Sharma introduced the Chief Guest, while Major K. Satyanarayan, President of the Association, delivered the presidential address.

A highlight of the evening was the felicitation of ICSE and ISC toppers, who received awards from the Chief Guest. In his address, the Chief Guest praised the efforts of the students and staff, encouraging them to continue striving for excellence. A memento was presented to him as a token of appreciation.

The cultural segment featured a “Say No to Plastic” dance by LKG to Std I students, a performance on the “Five Elements of Earth,” a traditional Telugu dance, and a vibrant group dance by senior students.

The prize distribution took place in three phases for students from LKG to Std XI, recognising academic and co-curricular excellence across all sections.
