Telco Co-operative Society case
Jamshedpur: Anand Bihari Dubey, former president of the East Singhbhum District Congress Committee, has threatened to stage a massive demonstration on December 16 if pending cases of the Telco Co-operative Society are not resolved.
Dubey issued a stern warning to the Telco Cooperative Society, as well as the relevant departments and officials, on Thursday. He warned that matters pending approval since May 17, 2018, and all pending rights and necessary documents related to the interests of the society’s workers, must be resolved by December 15, 2025.
He alleged that despite repeated discussions and reminders, the departments have neither taken any concrete decisions nor provided any updated information. The workers’ monthly salaries, which should have been paid on the 2nd of every month, have not been paid to date, causing widespread anger and discontent among the workers. He warned that if the process of clearing all pending files, providing copies of orders, and properly informing applicants is not completed by December 15, a massive protest and siege of the society’s office will be held on December 16, 2025.
Dubey warned that if a solution is not found even after this, then a phased agitation, indefinite strike, and siege will be adopted, for which the management will be fully responsible. Anand Bihari Dubey appealed to the workers and citizens to participate in maximum numbers in the proposed agitation on 16 December, so that the management can be held accountable on issues related to workers’ rights and prompt action can be taken in pending cases.
Samanto Kumar, Dheeraj Kumar Singh, Trinath, Sushil Ghosh, Abhineet Kumar Yadav, Sunny Kumar Singh, Nikhil Tiwari, Rohan Kumar Mishra, and others participated in Thursday’s demonstration.
