Jamshedpur: Tarapore School celebrated its 19th Annual Sports Day with great enthusiasm on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at the JRD Tata Sports Complex. The event, marked by vibrant performances and intense competition, was graced by Chief Guest Firoz Khan, Senior Sports Administrator at Tata Steel Sports Department.
The day commenced with a grand march past led by school leaders and students from classes IX to XII, showcasing precision and teamwork. Drill performances by students of various grades enthralled the audience, reflecting discipline and dedication.
In the fiercely contested march past competition, Jade House emerged victorious, while Garnet House claimed the runner-up position. Individual accolades were presented to top athletes across categories. Madhusudan Tamsoy and Komal Kumari were named best athletes in the sub-junior boys and girls categories, respectively, while Dharmal Mardi and Khushi Kumari took home the titles in the junior category. In the senior division, Utkarsh Kumar and Vedika Kumari were honored as the best athletes.
The highlight of the event was Jasdeep Singh, who was recognized as the Best Sportsperson of the Year, receiving a trophy for his outstanding performance. In the overall championship, Amber House claimed the top honors, with Garnet House finishing as the runners-up.
The Sports Day concluded on a high note, celebrating the spirit of sportsmanship and fostering camaraderie among students. All winners were awarded medals and certificates, making the day memorable for participants and spectators alike.
