Jamshedpur: The highly anticipated Amarnath Yatra to Baba Barfani is set to begin on June 25 this year and will conclude on August 9, coinciding with Shravan Purnima (Raksha Bandhan). Unlike last year’s 40-day schedule, this year’s pilgrimage will last 47 days, giving more devotees the opportunity to seek blessings.

According to Vijay Sharma Kailashi, General Secretary of Shiv Shakti Parivar Telco, the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board has increased the online registration quota, ensuring that more pilgrims can participate. The registration process will begin on March 15, with permits issued on a first-come, first-served basis. Offline registration will be available at 562 designated branches of Jammu & Kashmir Bank, YES Bank, Punjab National Bank (PNB) and State Bank of India (SBI).

As per the guidelines, children below 13 years and adults above 75 years will not be eligible for registration. Additionally, pregnant women beyond six weeks will also be restricted from registering. All travellers must submit a mandatory health certificate before embarking on the journey. Furthermore, each pilgrim will be allowed only one travel permit, which will not be transferable.

With an extended duration and an increase in registration slots, the Amarnath Yatra 2025 is expected to accommodate a larger number of devotees. The new measures aim to ensure a smoother and safer pilgrimage, allowing more worshippers to experience the divine darshan of Baba Barfani at the holy Amarnath cave.
