Alumni welcome new students at Sakchi High School

Jamshedpur, July 3: A welcome program for new students was organized in the Sakchi High School premises on Monday by the Alumni (Batch 1955-2022) group of the school. Social worker Shekhar Dey was as the chief guest while eminent industrialist of Jamshedpur and Chairman of Sakchi High School Governing Council, Bikash Mukherjee as the special guest and Dr Ashish Kumar Pani of Dean Academy XLRI as the guest of honor. TQM Tata Education Excellence Program Head Ankur Gandotra, General Secretary Sujit Roy and School Principal Pranav Ghosh were also present on the occasion.

The program was formally inaugurated by the guests. Shubhendu Ghosh delivered the welcome address.

 Speaking on the occasion, Shekhar Dey appreciated the efforts that were being made by the alumni in the development of the school. Former students Salgey Murmu, Mayukh Dutta, Rajveer Mandal, Rajdeep Maity, Sneha and Lakhan recited their poems.

 The guests were welcomed by the alumni members with saplings, shawl mementos. Guests, in the course of their address discussed the current status of the school and plans for further developments. The guests presented kits to 70 new students. The kits presented included bags, copies, pencils, erasers, books and school shoes. The alumni presented cash to five teachers and staff of primary school as incentive awards. The awards were presented in  envelopes that had paintings by Amrita, an alumnus member and artist of the city.

Among the teachers who were honoured included Ruma Chakraborty, Shyamali De, Rinki Haldar, Tanushri Namta and staff Purnima Paul. The vote of thanks was offered by ex-student of the school, Purvi Ghosh.
