Jamshedpur, Oct 16: Akashvani will organize its Sangeet Sammelan � 2019 on Saturday October 19 at the Tata Auditorium in the XLRI campus from 6 pm. Prominent artistes in the domain of classical vocal and instrumental music will participate in the program.
Famous Dhrupad singer Uday Bhawalkar who continues to mesmerize audience through live, radio and TV presentations will participate in this edition of Akashvani�s Sangeet Sammelan accompanied by accomplished Pakhawaj percussionist Apurva Lal Manna.
The stringed instrument Sarangi is an essential component in any form of music especially classical but its presence is only felt when its music is missing � like curry in salt with everyone appreciating the curry and not the salt component unless it is not there. To accentuate the basic melody of this instrument even further, Sarangi exponent Gauri Banerjee Sati will present a solo recital on the instrument. To give her company on tabla will be Pt Kishore Banerjee who has added that special punch to classical presentations at many venues through the years.
