AJSU MLAs meet kin of mob lynching victims, demand CBI inquiry

Jamshedpur, May 25: A delegation of AJSU party’s central committee on Thursday visited the families of the three youths of Haldipokhar who were killed in mob lynching in Shobhapur and Sosomouli villages under Rajanagar police station after villagers suspected them as child lifters.

Tamar MLA Vikas Singh Munda and Jugsalai MLA Ramchandra Sahis led the delegation to Haldipokhar. At first they held a meeting at the residence of mukhiya Syed Jabiullah and later in the evening they visited the house of the victims and met their families.

The AJSU delegation termed the mob lynching incident as a very big incident. MLAs said that not a single child lifting incident took place in Jharkhand and no reports were filed in the police station but still seven persons were killed by the villagers in a single day and they suspected it to be big conspiracy behind. The MLAs further said that somewhere something was cooked behind the doors which led to such a heinous crime.

The delegation assured the families of providing full support in this moment of grief and demand CBI investigation into the incident. The culprits should be punished and it should also be ensured that these type of crime is not repeated cat any cost.

On the occasion former DIG and senior leader of AJSU Subodh Prasad, Rafiq Anwar, Hassan Ansari, Kanhaiya Singh, Manik Mallik, Wasir Ali Khan, Mehboob Ahmed and others were present.

Apart from the Rajnagar incident, three more youths were lynched on the same suspicion Nagadih in East Singhbhum district the same day. An elderly woman was also injured and now under treatment in Tata Main Hospital in Jamshedpur.
