AJSU leaders plan strategy against anti-encroachment drive

Jamshedpur: A meeting of AJSU Party leaders was convened in Laltand, Birsanagar, on Saturday to discuss strategy for opposing the anti-encroachment drive of the district administration.

Leading the meeting, district president of the party Kanhaiyya Singh said the plight of residents of Baikunthnagar was enough to move anyone save for the state government which had not taken steps to rehabilitate them. He said the district administration should stop removing people from their houses in the name of running anti-encroachment drive.

Another party leader Kranti Singh said the people of the locality should unite against the anti-encroachment drive and take to the streets in support of their demands.

Among those present at the meeting included Arvind Kumar, Uma Shankar Singh, Appu Tiwary, Hemant Pathak, Kanchan Singh, Chandreshwar Pandey, Sanjay Singh, Hema Singh and Sanjay Ghosh.
