Jamshedpur, April 9: The new DIG of Police for Kolhan range, Ajay Linda, took charge of his office on Saturday. He was earlier posted in Chaibasa as SP West Singhbhum. He is a 2008 batch IPS Officer.
Addressing scribes after taking charge, Linda said he would always be available to the people of the three districts. He said the joint anti-Maoist operations of the district police and the CRPF would continue to end violence in the region. Special focus would be laid on building a stronger police-public bond, he said.
The DIG said special training would be given to ASP, DSP and sub inspectors of police so that they perform better.
