Aishwarya presents Carnatic classical vocal recital at Madrasi Sammelani

Jamshedpur, Aug. 13: As part of its centenary celebrations and on the eve of Janmashtami, Madrasi Sammelani today organized a Carnatic classical vocal recital at its newly renovated auditorium.

Aishwarya Sundaram from Chennai gave a scintillating performance on the occasion who kept the audience spellbound with her songs mostly on Lord Krishna.

Aishwarya was accompanied on the Violin by Madan Mohan from Chennai and S Venkataraman from Kolkata on Mridangam.

Earlier, G Shankar, President, Madrasi Sammelani, while welcoming the artists and the distinguished guests to the event, informed the gathering that it is indeed a honour for Madrasi Sammelani that the Carnatic classical vocal recital is a blessing for the organization as it comes just on the eve of Janmashtami and Aishwarya’s soulful renditions are worth hearing as she has performed at many programmes all over the country.

Prior to commencement of the programme, B Chandrasekhar, Chairman, Board of Trustees, N Ramamoorthy, Vice-President, Board of Trustees, Madrasi Sammelani and T S Suresh Kumar, Ex-Chief, Natural Resources Division, Tata Steel, lit the traditional lamp.

Later on Mr & Mrs T S Suresh Kumar were honoured by the Managing Committee, Madrasi Sammelani, as they are leaving the Steel City of Jamshedpur and settling down at Chennai.

M S V Siva, Hony Secretary, Madrasi Sammelani, proposed the vote of thanks and B Visweswaran, S Ramesh, J Suresh and S Seshadri, Committee Members of Madrasi Sammelani, actively contributed for the successful organization of the programme.
