Agrico Rangers and Jharkhand Tigers declared joint winners


Jamshedpur, Sept 14: Veteran Sports Club conducted the�4th�Veteran Football Tournament�on Sunday, September 13 at Agrico Ground.�

8 (eight) Teams played the tournament were around 130 Ex Sportsman of different games participated. Tournament was supported by Urban Dept, Tata Steel and Jamshedpur Health Awareness Association, Agrico.

Mr. Narsingh Rao, Ex National Footballer aged 75 years inaugurated the tournament.

The first match of the tournament was played between Jamshedpur Heroes Vs Tata Nagar Vintage were team Vintage won by 3 goals to 1 were V K Reddy, S I Hussain & S D Ghosh scored a goal each for vintage while Amar was the lone scorer for Jamshedpur Heroes.

In the second match Agrico Rangers Vs. South Park Jaanbaaz: Agrico Rangers won by 3 goals to 0 were Gopi, Kalyan and Pratik Biswas scored for Rangers. The third match saw Jharkhand Tigers beat Sidhgora Strikers by 2 goals to 0. Both the goals were scored by Kamal.�

In another match Jamshedpur Dabang beat CSIR NML Staff Club by 1-0. In the first Semi Final between Agrico Rangers Vs Tata Nagar Vintage: Agrico Rangers won by 4 goals to 3 in Tie Breaker while the second semi final saw Jharkhand Tigers beat Jamshedpur Dabang�by 4 goals to 0. Goal scored by Pankaj, S Tiwary, S Chaurasia and Gurdeep Singh.�

The final match of the tournament between Agrico Rangers Vs Jharkhand Tigers ended in a draw due to bad light and both the teams were declared Joint Winners.

Lokesh Verma, Manager (Admn), Tinplate was the Chief Guest and distributed the prizes along with Ex National Footballers Narsingh Rao, B T Bose and G B Singh.�The Club presented a JVSC Cap to Ex National Footballers, Md. Akil, Mr. Debajit Biswas �and Mr. Ahmad Ansari for their contribution�& achievements in Football.�

The club also honored Arun Sinha (with Track Suit) for his contribution in promotion of Football and hard work. Mr. Jayprakash of Chamakta Aaaina,�Mr. Aditya Jha of Dainik Bhaskar, Nishar of Prabhat Khabar, Jitendra of Dainik Jagran, Niranjan of Hindustan were also honored by club (JVSC T Shirt)�for their contribution in Sports through Newspaper.�

Highest Goal Scorer Award was given to ��Kamal of Jharkhand Tigers.�Avinash Kumar, Secretary, JVSC with the support of J. Behera, P Mohan Rao, R K Mishra, Gautam Acharjee, S K Singh, V Raman,�Nixon Kumar and Tilak Ram had conducted the entire tournament.

V. Raman did the commentary of all the matches.� Many Ex sports person and Footballers were present on the occasion.�JSA Referees- Amrit Dang, Sarkar Soren, S P Das and Bablu Lohar had officiated all the matches.�
