Age limit for JSSSC should be increased: Dr Ajoy Kumar

Jamshedpur, Jan 3:  CWC permanent invitee and former MP Dr Ajoy Kumar, wrote a letter to Jharkhand Chief Minister, Hemant Soren, urging that the upper age limit for appointment under Jharkhand State Staff  Selection Commission (JSSSC) for graduate posts.

Dr Ajoy Kumar stated that the previous state government had fixed the upper age limit to August 1, 2010 and then to August 1, 2015 for appointment under JSSSC graduate quota. The former IPS officer, in his letter to the Jharkhand Chief Minister to further extend the date limit to maximum age as on August 1, 2021 for selection criteria. According to the latest advertisement pertaining to JSSSC staff selection the maximum age limit cutoff had been fixed at August 1, 2021 for all posts. Dr Kumar contended that the latest cutoff for maximum age limit, candidates were being debarred from filing their forms as with the latest cutoff of August 1, 2021 the candidates will be faced with further problems. Dr Ajoy Kumar wrote in the letter, “Due to COVID pandemic, our examinees have faced many problems and in such a situation changing the cutoff date to 2021 will have a huge impact on the examinees of our state.”
