Advocates’ Day celebrated in Jamshedpur, tributes paid to Dr. Rajendra Prasad

Jamshedpur, December 3: Members of the legal fraternity celebrated Advocates’ Day at the Bar Bhawan in the District Civil Court Complex on the occasion of the 141st birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Rajendra Prasad, India’s first President.

Senior members of the Bar Association, Advocate Arjun Singh and Advocate Sudhir Kumar Pappu, jointly cut a cake to mark the occasion. Speaking on the life and legacy of Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Arjun Singh highlighted his simplicity, honesty, tireless work ethic, and unwavering commitment to national service. He said that Dr. Prasad’s life in the majestic Rashtrapati Bhawan, led with humility and discipline like an ordinary citizen, remains unparalleled in Indian history.

“He set an example of ideal values and ethical conduct which will continue to inspire not only the present generation but many generations to come,” he added.

Speakers at the event also emphasized the vital role played by lawyers in the freedom struggle and the responsibility of the legal community to uphold justice, truth, and constitutional values.

Among those present were Raju Singh, Mohammad Qasim, former district prosecution officer Sushil Kumar Jaiswal, Ramjeet Pandey, Triloki Nath Ojha, Sanjeev Singh, Rahul Prasad, Rahul Rai, Ranjeet Singh, Babu Nandi, Babita Jain, Savita Kumari, Shrikant Singh, Kulwinder Singh, Vidyut Mukherjee, Tukai Da, JK Raju, Dhirendra Chaudhary, and Chawla ji, among others.
