Ranchi: In a significant administrative overhaul, the Jharkhand state government has announced the transfer of eight Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, with Rajiv Arun Ekka assuming the pivotal role of Member Revenue Board. The reshuffle, effective immediately, involves key responsibilities and additional charges for several officers across various departments.
Rajiv Arun Ekka, in addition to his role as Member Revenue Board, has been entrusted with the responsibilities of Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister, Backward Class Welfare Department, and Additional Chief Secretary of Panchayati Raj Department.
Ajay Kumar Singh, the Principal Secretary of Rural Affairs Department, has been assigned an additional charge of the Health Department. Vandana Dadel, Principal Secretary of the Cabinet Secretariat, will now oversee the Women and Child Development Department as well.
Mast Ram Meena, previously the Principal Local Commissioner, has been appointed as the Principal Secretary of the Planning Development Department. Manish Ranjan, Secretary of the Drinking Water Department, has been given the responsibility of the Land Revenue Department.
Rajesh Sharma, who was in charge of the Labor Department, has been transferred to become the Secretary of the Drinking Water Department. Prashant Kumar has been appointed as the Secretary of the Finance Department.
Additionally, K Srinivasan, the Director of the Advanced Training Institute (ATI), will now serve as the Local Commissioner for Jharkhand Bhawan, with an additional charge of ATI Director.
