Jamshedpur: The district administration has ordered FIR against those tested positive for COVID-19 and giving continuously misleading contact tracing in tracking their contacts.
We have been receiving information that those testing positive of coronavirus are giving false contact tracing report. These people have been giving wrong information about the places they visited during the home quarantine period apart from violating the terms and conditions of home quarantine, said Suraj Kumar, deputy commissioner.
He said that he has ordered all the incident commanders to file FIR against those not cooperating with the authorities.
The administration is taking such measures that will help to indicate the presence of any possible hidden infection at an early stage thus helping in its timely containment, said an official.

DC said that if any hospital does not treat patients, then they must act on such a hospital and cancel its license and register an FIR. He also advised the private nursing homes to come up COVID wards for the treatment of patients.
Meanwhile, with bed occupancy reaching almost 95 per cent in the city, the administration has decided to convert JRD Tata Sports Complex into COVID Care unit. The administration has taken control over the stadium and has deputed its team for making arrangements. The positive cases have crossed 7000 mark in the district.
We are keeping an eye on those quarantines and also sending teams for identifying fresh suspected cases. There are several persons who have returned from abroad and have been quarantined. We want them to follow guidelines, said an official.
