Right wing organisations come in protest against rally

Jamshedpur: With ongoing protest against Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) and National Register of Citizens (NRC) across the nation, the district administration has decided to stop the proposed rally in the minority dominated Mango locality on December 24.
Under the banner of Samvidhan Bachao Sangharsh Samity led by one Saifuddin Asdaque has called a �Jan Akrosh Rally� on December 24 morning from Gandhi Maidan in Mango to Aambagan ground in Sakchi.
Dhalbhum SDO Chandan Kumar said that the administration will not allow any violent protest. �We are not against peaceful protest by any outfit but since model code of conduct would be in place in city on December 24 and as per the directive of Election Commission of India any assembly of persons need permission from the administration and so far no one has approached us. As it is section 144 is in place in city. Even if they approach we will look into the sensitiveness of the situation before giving them permission,� he said.
Senior officials in the district administration the permission for the rally will not be given in view of the results for the six assembly seats under the East Singhbhum districts would be declared on December 23 till late evening and majority of the security forces would be stuck up in ensuring law and order situation near the strongroom in Jamshedpur Cooperative College.
� We are keeping an eye on any type of protest. We will not allow any protest rally on December 24 that too against an Act from any part of the city as it can lead to serious law and order situation. The security forces would have been involved at Strong Room at Jamshedpur Cooperative College till late evening on December 24. Miscreants may take advantage of the situation to flare up the situation,� said a senior official.
It may be mentioned that in May 2017 a rally called by an outfit Muslim Ekta Manch in May 2017 against lynching of four Muslim youths in Rajnagar (Seraikela-Kharsawan) had turned violent while enforcing bandh which led to communal flare up in different parts of city especially Mango.
Meanwhile, members of Hindu Utsav Samity and Sampoorna Hindu Samaj today submitted memorandums before East Singhbhum deputy commissioner and district electoral officer, Ravishankar Shukla requesting against permission to the proposed December 24 rally.
�We have requested the district administration against giving permission for the proposed rally as it might lead to law and order condition in the city especially with assembly results announced late evening on December 23 and create communal tension in the peaceful city,� said a senior functionary of Hindu Utsav Samity.
