ADLS students informed about harmful effects of UV rays

Jamshedpur, May 4: The safe club of ADLS Sunshine School designed ‘Sunsense’ programme to educate the student about the harmful effects of the UV rays and precautions that should be taken to protect themselves from the sun.

Dr. N.N. Tripathy, a general physician and retired doctor from TMH was invited to give a talk on Sunsense. He gave information to the students regarding safety during summer season. He informed the student about the importance of taking of plenty of fluid and fruits during summer season. The programme included pledge by the students. Stalls of summer drinks, fruit, salads, sprouts etc. were set up for the event. Self explanatory charts depicting harmful effects of sunstroke were beautifully displayed in the campus.

A questionnaire on heat stroke was distributed to the parents and on the basis of the analysis students were informed about necessary measures that need to be taken in case of heatstroke. The programme concluded with safe pledge.
