Jamshedpur : ADLS Sunshine School observed World Suicide Prevention Day on September 11 through a set of events to promote awareness among students and the parents on this burning issue affecting so many lives in city almost every day.
The chief guest of the day was Dr. Sanjay Agarwal, HOD, Department of Psychiatry, Tata Main Hospital, Jamshedpur.
The students were addressed and counseled by Dr. Sanjay Agarwal and the Counsellor of Sunshine School, Ms. Tulika Mukherjee. The smile club of the school was inaugurated.
The club will have seven mentors chosen by the students through a voting and the club will work in counseling the students on the second Saturdays of every month.
Nukkad natak and a musical performance were presented by the students of Sunshine School.
The students were demonstrated various yogik ashanas to manage stress by yoga guru Subhashish Bhadhuri. The program ended with the National Anthem.
