Adityapur Municipal body achieves revenue target in record time

Jamshedpur, Feb 7:  This time in the holding tax collection  Adityapur Municipal Corporation, has crossed the revenue target by doing better even before two months of the financial year closure. 
The Municipal Corporation has collected Rs 4.17 crore holding tax while the target was Rs 4.11 crore. In this way the corporation has achieved 100% target. In the last financial year, 89 percent target was achieved, besides holding tax in the municipal corporation, a record has also been set. The number of house holders was 36489, which has increased to 39149 this time. That is, an increase of about 2660 houses was recorded this year.

Regarding this achievement, Girija Shankar Prasad, Additional Municipal Commissioner of Adityapur Municipal Corporation and Debashish Pradhan, nodal officer of holding tax, said that even the third wave of Corona did not affect the revenue collection. Due to the spread of awareness among the people by the Corporation and proper guidance and action plan of the Additional Municipal Commissioner and micro management at the ground level, the Corporation easily achieved the goal.

The receipt of holding tax from various institutions, vacant land, and NIT under the corporation area facilitated the recovery of holding tax, in which Rs 21 lakhs of NIT is the largest amount, assistant engineer  of South E-Railway Rs 6 lakh, Samay Homes, City Residency India Pvt Ltd and other big institutions are included in the list of big tax amount.

The Adityapur Municipal tea has been Invited by IIT Roorkee to participate in the cash holding of Urban Local Bodies survey, in which the nodal officer of revenue Devashish Pradhan will participate in the online survey, in which he will share his experience regarding revenue collection. The corporation administration thanked Adityapur Municipal Corporation for making timely payment of tax to all the tax payers.
