Jamshedpur ,Oct 15: The Adityapur Auto Cluster today hosted a high-impact Green Audit sensitisation workshop under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) Programme, supported by the Jharkhand Industrial Area Development Authority (JIADA) and Jharkhand industries department.
The workshop aimed to encourage industrial units to adopt sustainable practices, reduce environmental impact, and move toward ‘Net Zero’ emissions.
Inder Agarwal, President of the Adityapur Small Industries Association ( ASIA ), urged units to undertake Green Audits, emphasizing collective responsibility in fostering a cleaner and safer industrial ecosystem.
S.N. Thakur, Managing Director of the auto cluster, highlighted the importance of effective waste management and the cluster’s facilities for hazardous and liquid waste treatment.
Prem Ranjan, Regional Director, JIADA, detailed the audit process, benefits, and financial support of up to Rs 30,000 per unit, with accredited Green Audit firms available to assist units.
Dr. Tiwari from Ranchi led a technical session covering methodologies, compliance measures, and strategies to align with sustainable development goals.
The workshop saw participation from over 150 representatives of nearly 800 units, concluding with an interactive Q&A and a vote of thanks by Dinesh Ranjan, Regional Deputy Director, JIADA, recognizing the commitment of industries toward a greener future.
