Active Covid cases down to 58 in Jamshedpur

 Jamshedpur, July 15: The positive case count in Jamshedpur continue to remain in single digit. 

Jamshedpur reported eight positive cases on Thursday while zero death was recorded. 

The new positives in Jamshedpur took the Coronavirus tally to 51713.

10 people recovered of the virus on Thursday taking the total recovery to 50601 while total active cases in Jamshedpur have come down to 58.

Of the 58 patients still undergoing treatment for the coronavirus in the district, most are in home isolation, while some are being treated at care centres and hospitals. 

As many as 10 people recovered from the virus on Thursday taking the overall recoveries to 50601 which accounts for a recovery rate of 97.86%.

East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 429075 tests per million in the district. The recovery rate in Jamshedpur is 97.86% while the mortality rate is 2.04 %.

With 8 new Covid-19 cases, Jamshedpur’s positivity rate on Thursday, remained below 1%, as the city stayed on the recovery path after a brutal wave of infections between April and May. The positivity rate stood at 0.15% on Thursday.

More than 5300 were tested on the day. Data from the state government’s daily health bulletin showed that the Covid-19 test positivity is 0.15%. The state, too, witnessed a massive fall in infections and fatalities.

The positivity rate of Covid-19 cases in Jamshedpur is around 0.15 per cent after East Singhbhum conducted over 5300 tests in the last 24 hours. 

The Steel City tested 5355 samples, of which, 8 turned out positive while 10 people recovered from the Covid-19. The continuous high numbers of tests have pushed the positivity rate further down to 0.15 per cent, the government data showed.

So far in Jamshedpur 1159063 samples have been collected out of which 1142198 have been tested and 1090485 have turned out to be negative.
