Corona tally reaches 89,702 in Jharkhand with 829 fresh cases
Jamshedpur, Oct 7: Jamshedpur reported less 100 COVID positive cases for the sixth straight day on Wednesday. 61 positives cases were reported on October 7 taking the Coronavirus tally to 14,433.
Positive tally has climbed to 14,433 while the death toll has reached 332 with 1 death on Wednesday. 132 people recovered of the virus taking the total recovery to 12618 while total active cases in Jamshedpur are 1483.
The district administration spokesperson informed that 61 corona positives have been identified in the East Singhbhum district on Wednesday. East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 79688 test per million in the district. The mortality rate in East Singhbhum district in 2.3 % while recovery rate has jumped to 88%.
With a total of 829 fresh cases of Coronavirus being detected across the state on Wednesday the overall tally of Covid-19 patients in Jharkhand has reached to 89,702. During the day 10 deaths were reported including 2 each from Ranchi and Dhanbad districts and 1 each from Bokaro, East Singhbhum, Hazaribagh, Koderma, Latehar and Lohardaga districts after which the overall death count has increased to 767 in the state.
The mortality rate among the patients currently stands at 0.85 per cent. As per the information provided by the health department the number of active cases in the state was 9,759 while number of cured and discharged cases stood at 79,176. The total number of death caused by Coronavirus in the state stood at 767. On Wednesday a maximum number of 388 cases were found in Ranchi followed by 65 in Bokaro, 61 in East Singhbhum, 45 in Dhanbad and 32 in Khunti districts (top five districts).
A total of number of 1,087 people were also cured and discharged from various dedicated Covid19 facilities during the day including 502 from Ranchi, 132 from East Singhbhum, 65 from Khunti, 58 from Dhanbad and 44 from Bokaro districts. Despite the rampant rise in Coronavirus cases across the state the recovery rate of Covid-19 patients has improved significantly and has once again gone above 85 percent mark to currently stand at 88.26 per cent in Jharkhand. So far in the state 25,00,014 samples have been collected out of which 24,96,645 have been tested and 24,06,943 have turned out to be negative.
