Action sought against guilty MGMCH doctors

Jamshedpur: State Youth Congress president Rakesh Sahu demanded stringent departmental action against the doctors of MGM Hospital found guilty of showing slackness in the treatment of one Sukhdev Ram, a Mango resident. He also sought compensation for the next of kin of the deceased from the state government.

In a press statement issued here on Saturday, Sahu said the Youth Congress members would wage a massive agitation across the city on 30th November in case their demands are not fulfilled soon.

He said the Youth Congress members would stage a dharna at the Jamshedpur Collectorate on the same day in support of their demands. Sahu said he had discussed the issue with state Congress president Dr Ajoy Kumar. He said the slackness shown by the doctors had resulted in the death of Sukhdev Ram who was reportedly suffering from hernia.
