Seraikela : On the occasion of Deepawali and Chhath festival, if you want to set up a firecracker shop, then prepare to take a temporary license for it. The district administration has started the process of granting the license.
In an order issued to the Sub-Divisional Officer Seraikela, Chandil for issuing temporary license for sale of fireworks (firecrackers) during Deepawali and Chhath festival, the Deputy Commissioner has clarified that Ordnance and Explosive Rules for sale of firecrackers on the occasion of festival festivals There is a provision for issuing temporary license under Rule 84 of 2008 and other relevant rules.
Those interested in selling firecrackers can apply in the form AE-5 and LE-5 as per the instructions of Government of India Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organization, Patna. Sub-divisional officers Seraikela and Chandil will issue temporary licenses in the light of Rule-84 of the Ordnance and Explosives Rules 2008 and other relevant rules for the sale of firecrackers on applications under their jurisdiction.
To sell firecrackers in Deepawali, a license will be required. Failure to do so will result in punitive action from the administration. Sub-divisional officer Ram Krishna Kumar has instructed all the zonal officers and police station in-charge to select vacant sites for setting firecrackers. For this, such sites will be selected where in case of emergency, there is no obstruction to the other rescuers, including firebigades.
For this, firecrackers can be allowed to sell fireworks in Gamharia Durgapuja ground, Adityapur football ground and grounds adjacent to NIT police station. However, in this case the site has not been approved from the administrative level. Even in the district, 42 people have applied for licenses to sell firecrackers, whereas last time a total of 37 people had taken the license for it.
