Jamshedpur: The Jamshedpur metropolitan unit of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has made a formal appeal to the Governor, who also serves as the Chancellor, requesting the appointment of permanent officials to crucial positions within Kolhan University. A memorandum on this issue was presented to the Deputy Commissioner’s office on Tuesday on behalf of the Council.
The memorandum highlights the longstanding absence of a permanent Vice Chancellor and Pro Vice Chancellor at Kolhan University. Additionally, the current Registrar’s tenure is set to conclude in the coming days. The reliance on temporary appointments for these key positions has led to significant challenges for students. In various universities across Jharkhand, the absence of a permanent Registrar in charge has disrupted the institutions’ functions. Hence, the ABVP emphasizes the urgent need for the prompt appointment of permanent officers to ensure the efficient operation of the university.
Bapan Ghosh, a leader within the Council, emphasized the difficulties currently faced by students and faculty at Kolhan University due to the absence of permanent officials. The concern extends to who students can turn to with their issues if there is no permanent Registrar after the Vice-Chancellor and Pro-Vice-Chancellor. Consequently, the ABVP is advocating for the swift appointment of permanent officials to ensure that all university operations run smoothly and efficiently.
The memorandum was submitted by various members of the council, including Aman Thakur, Bapan Ghosh, Gaurav Sahu, Abhishek Kumar, Shubham Raj, Abhijeet, Hare Krishna, and many other dedicated workers.
