Ranchi, May 29: Jharkhand is going to have a good monsoon and there will be above normal rainfall this year.
Meteorologist Abhishek Anand of Ranchi Meteorological Center said that this time there will be more rain than normal.
“Generally 102 cm is considered normal. But this time it can go more than this. This time there can be up to 130 cm of rain. That is, it will be 10 to 15% more than normal. In such a situation, monsoon will prove to be a boon for the farmers. But, as it was being said that this time monsoon will come in the first week of June, but now it is expected to come by June 15,” said Anand.
Abhishek Anand said, especially the eastern and central districts like Godda, Sahibganj, Pakur, Dumka, while Ranchi, Lohardaga and Khunti in the center. Some southern districts, East and West Singhbhum and Saraikela Kharsawan, these districts can get good rain up to 30% more than normal. Because here moisture comes from the Bay of Bengal as well as monsoon. So due to the meeting of these two, good rain and thunder clouds are seen.
At the same time, in districts like Chatra and Palamu, up to 10 percent less rain than normal can be recorded. Because, the effect of monsoon here is not as much as compared to other places. But still it will be around normal. So there is no need for people to panic.
Abhishek Anand said, if we talk about synoptic features, this time the effect of El Nino will not be seen and if its effect was there, then the rain would have been a little less than normal. Because, due to El Nino, the monsoon shifts and its effect is not seen much in India and neither will the effect of the Indian Ocean Dipole be there..
