Jamshedpur : In a glaring midnight incident some miscreant made an abortive attempt of abduction of a young woman.
A man in his early thirties arrived near a car at Sakchi and had caught hold of the woman’s hand which was hanging outside the window of the car. On sensing trouble on the advance act of the miscreant, the woman shouted at her, but instead of going away from the spot, the man left her and opened the car and sat on the driving seat.
The eyewitness said as a clash between the youth and the man followed on the road, a huge crowd gathered on the road near the Hotel Blue Diamond.
The victims were close relative and resident of Golmuri. The young woman and the teen-aged girl were two sisters and the youth who was a cousin brother had gone to bring dinner packet having the car parked in front of the hotel.
Superintendent of police (city) Kartik S, when asked, said that neither the victim nor the Sakchi police informed me about the alleged attempted abduction late last night. I will try to find out,” he said.
