ABMP Adarsh High School: Red House crowned overall winner

Jamshedpur, Dec 12: The 60th annual Sports Day of ABMP Adarsh High School, Rahargora was organised in the school ground on Monday. Colorful March Past, PT display and oath taking taking ceremony marked the day filled by fun and enthusiasm.

Chief Guest for the occasion was Vice President of School Managing committee cum General Manager (Foundry) Tata Motors Dr DS Padan and his wife Reena Padan while Secretary of School Committee cum Senior Manager Tata Motors was guest of honour. They jointly inaugurated the competition. Also present was School Principal Janardhan Giri.

400 students divided into 8 groups of the school enthusiastically participated in 80 sports events and won several medals.

100 meter and 200 meter race were specially organized by the school for the children of local township schools. During the annual sports competition, field events like long jump, shot put, discus throw, long jump, high jump, besides 100 m, 200 m, 400 m, 800 m, 4 x100 m relay races were organized.

Based on the number of medals earned in various events during annual sports competition, Red House with highest score of 146 points was adjudged the overall winner and the Blue House with 98 points was declared the runner-up. On the other hand, Yellow House was awarded the winner and Green House the runner-up trophy for the best march past. Rahul Kudada was awarded the best player in the boys category and Sanjana Kumari in the girls category.
