VM Ranjeet to face Abhinansu in Men’s Singles final today
Jamshedpur, Nov. 21 : Ex Davis Cupper V M Ranjeet sets up a summit clash with Abhinansu Borthakur in the Men’s Singles category at the ongoing Beldih Club AITA Men’s 1 Lac National Ranking Tennis Tournament 2019, been held at the clay courts of Beldih Club and United Club in Jamshedpur.
Ranjeet, the top seed of the tournament did not sweat much before surpassing Bengal’s Rohit Rampuriabt a straight 6-3, 6-1 in the semi-finals today. In the final on Friday, November 21 he will face unseeded Abhinansu Borthakur of Bengal, for who the dream run continues as he drubs Anurag Kumar Saran of Odisha by a comfortable 6-1,6-3.
In the Men’s Doubles final, it was more of a one-sided affair as the duo of Abhinansu Borthakur and Puru Upadhyay blanked top seeded pair of Neel Garud and Asish Sinha of Madhya Pradesh by 6-2,6-1 to win the tournament.
The Men’s Singles Final will start at 10:30 am on Friday at the Beldih Club, followed by the Prize Distribution Ceremony.
