Jamshedpur, Nov. 22: The police have arrested an accused in the Abdul Majid murder case. Majid was shot at Azadnagar market last week. The assailants succeeded in escaping after the gruesome act.
The intensity with which the police were hunting the suspects in the case eventually brought results. The police got a tip off that JairamManjhi and other criminals were planning to carry out some nefarious activity at Old Purulia Road.
A police team arrived at the spot and nabbed Shoaib alias Shibu, Md. Sdddab Hussein, Petla, Mo Akram, Sameer Ansari and Mohammad Irsad were arrested with illegal weapons.
The police recovered the weapon used in the murder. Jamshedpur City SP Chandan Kumar Jha lauded the team for their efforts.
A 7.65 bore country-made pistol, one magazine loaded with six live bullets, two motorbikes and six cell phones were recovered during the raid.
