Jamshedpur, Jan 12: Inner Wheel Club of Jamshedpur celebrated 98th International Inner Wheel Day on January 10 by initiating five projects based on the target given by Association President Saroj Katiyar.
Inner Wheel is the largest women organization of world which is working for the benefit of underprivileged and needy, special focus on women and girl child for last last 98 years throughout the world in different countries.
This year theme of Inner Wheel is SHEROES. Different Alphabets represent different verticals.
The five projects include: S for Stree Shakti- 2 girls training for their empowerment at ‘ Devine Care’, Acupressure Center at Sakchi by Dr. Vikash Sahu. S for Stree Shakti – A college student was gifted a Mobile phone for her online classes. E for Environment / Earth Care – Members of club planted sapling at home and posted pictures on social media. S for Spreading the Wings – Member Saloni Shanghari was inducted in the club. January is considered to be celebrated as Cervical Cancer awareness month, the club conducted cancer awareness talk virtually with more than 100 College students. Speaker for the event was Dr. Amit Kumar, oncologist from Brahmananda Super Speciality Hospital. President of the club Vinita Shah, Nalini Rammurthy, Vijaylaxmi Das, Dr Manju Rani Singh, Navita Prasad, Archana Shekhar, Ranjeeta Sinha, Simran Sagoo, Babita Sharma and other members were present.
