Ranchi, Jan. 25: Addressing the people of Belkupi village at Mohulbana Panchayat in Dumka on Monday, Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that his government will develop basic amenities through MGNAREGA as well as promote employment.
Stating that the issue of the farmers was top on his priority list, the CM said that he would revolutionize the agriculture sector by ensuring irrigation. Water stagnation process will be developed and it will be confined on the land itself and not let to flow to the sea.
Summoning all the people to come forward for the “Yojana Banao Abhiyan,” the CM said that the panchayats will be given Rs. 70-80 lakh each for development. This fund will be expensed with the permission of the executive body of the village. He said that ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ is not only a slogan, but a commitment of the government. “It is a way of realizing the dream of our ancestors,” the CM added.
Repeating the commitment of his government, the CM said that the government has appointed more than 400 doctors and plan to train B. Sc. Pass students as ANM and appoint them in the village dispensaries. Apart from modernizing the high schools, the CM said that the government will provide the school students with milk along with fruit and eggs.
The CM has given several suggestions to the Planning Dal regarding formulating schemes for the rural areas. He has asked the Planning Dal to find out the number of people who are employed in each family, how many of them are having the ration cards and how many of them require irrigation means.
The CM has also asked for some practical suggestions from the villagers regarding irrigation, tribal affairs, road, drainage, PDS etc.
Out of the suggested 78 schemes, 25 were selected on priority for which Rs. 24,003,000 lakh will be expensed. Altogether 8,900 working days will be created under these schemes.
