84 Sikh riots: Sikhs take out protest rally,

Demand Congress to reveal names of leaders
Jamshedpur
: The Sikh community led by Central Sikh Gurudwara Prabandhank Committee (
CGPC) took out a rally in protest against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s remarks and demanding
action against Congress leaders involved in the riots.

The community members led by Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee president Inderjeet Singh met the DC to register their resentment.

Sikh Youth Federation has also demanded that the Congress Party must reveal the names of those
involved in 1984 anti Sikh riots.

The demand comes in wake of Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi had in an interview on January 27 admitting that some Congress members were probably involved in the 1984 riots, in which many innocent people had died.

All India Sikh Youths Federation (AISYF)’s Bihar-Jharkhand unit president Satnam Singh today said that Congress should reveal the names of partymen who were involved in the riots and
immediate taken action against them.

He said that Congress leaders Jagdish Tytler and Sajjan Kumar were involved in the riots.

The Congress party rather than punishing those involved have tried to promote the leaders at different levels.

“We want an SIT to probe the 1984 riots. Those found guilty should be hanged. We want justice.

The Congress is responsible for the 1984 riots,” the protestors said.

“Instead of taking any action against these tainted leaders, Congress has not only been protecting them but they were being rewarded by the party with pivotal posts,” said another member.
