Seraikela, May 22: A Jail Adalat-cum-legal literacy camp was organized at Seraikela Divisional Jail under the aegis of District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Seraikela-Kharsawan, on Sunday. As many as eight persons were acquitted by the court while three cases were disposed today, sources said.
DLSA Secretary Kanti Prasad addressed the inmates and informed them about their legal rights and duties. He stressed on doing introspection and asked all inmates to bring about good changes in their behaviour and thoughts. He informed the inmates about various legal provisions meant for their welfare. Chief Judicial Magistrate Manju Kumari, ACJM Kavitanjali Toppo, SDJM Sushil Pingua and many other judicial officers were present on the occasion.
