Jamshedpur, Jan 31: The 77th Dharma Sastha Preeti celebrations commenced today at Sri Uttara Sabarimala Dharma Sastha Temple, located at Kharkai Link Road, Bistupur, with great devotion and traditional rituals.
The day’s events began with the Magar Ganapathi Havan, performed by 32 Ved Pandits in the morning, invoking divine blessings. In the evening, Sri P. N. Sankaran conducted the Maha Sankalp Puja under the guidance of Sri Vijay Bhanu, the chief priest. The special ritual sought the blessings of all presiding deities for the successful completion of the celebrations as per Vedic traditions.
Following this, temple priests Sri Mohit Sharma, Sri Akash Sharma, and Sri Priyanshu Sharma led the Maha Arati, offering prayers to all the deities. Prasad was distributed to hundreds of devotees by the temple committee members.
The event was attended by Sri N. Rammurthy (President), Sri B. Subramanian (Secretary), Sri A. S. Vishweswaran (Treasurer), Sri S. Krishna, Sri S. Shiju Lal (Joint Secretaries), and other members, including Sri S. Pradeep and Sri M. S. V. Siva.
