Recently, on February 9, through a secret information on the toll free number 10582 operated by IRRC, it was learned that the girls of Jharkhand are being human trafficked and put to work in Delhi. As soon as the information was received, the team of Integrated Rehabilitation Resource Center (IRRC) operated by the Department of Women and Child Development immediately established contact with Uttam Nagar Police Station, Delhi, traced the location of the children and raided and after a struggle of about three hours those girls were found along with a human trafficker and were released from rented house. A Dode, Director of Women and Child Development Department, has given strict instructions to all the districts that in whichever district the children will be rescued in Delhi, the District Social Welfare Officer and Child Protection Officer of that district will take the children to their native district for rehabilitation.

In this sequence, taking initiative by District Social Welfare Officer  Sita Pushpa and District Child Protection Officer Ved Prakash Tiwari, all the five rescued girls are being brought back from Delhi to Ranchi by Garib Rath. These girls will be linked to various schemes run by the Social Welfare Department, so that these girls do not become victims of human trafficking again.

Their parents also play an important role in sending the girls in the clutches of touts. It has been seen many times that girls go into the clutches of touts only with the consent of their parents, their relatives.
