Jamshedpur, May 24: As many as 49 people would get their dream homes in Mango this year. The beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana are all set to see their dream come true as Mango Municipal Corporation (MMC) has not only identified them but has also issued the first instalment. The house construction has begun, said officials.
The MMC officials said the proposed houses under PMAY would be ready within the next 240 days. MMC would spend Rs 1.10 crore on implementation of PMAY. Each of the beneficiaries has got the first instalment of Rs 45,000. A total of Rs 22 lakh has been given in first instalment to the beneficiaries who have constructed foundation of their homes by now.
The second instalment of Rs 68,500 would be given when the housing units are constructed till plinth level. Third insalment of Rs 90,000 would be given for linter level construction and the last instalment of Rs 22,500 would be given at the finishing stage, sources said.
In Mango, 800 people have got homes under the PMAY so far. These beneficiaries have also performed Grih Pravesh ceremony.
