Fourth time in 99 days no deaths recorded in city
Jamshedpur, Oct 13:�Tuesday came as a relief for Jamshedpur as no COVID-19 deaths were recorded in the district. This is the fourth time in 99 days that not a single person succumbed to the virus. Earlier on October 8 and October 10, no corona deaths were reported in Jamshedpur.
48 corona positive cases were reported in Jamshedpur on Tuesday, October 13 taking the total tally to 15009.
Positive tally has climbed to 15009 while the death toll remains at 337 with no deaths on Tuesday. 133 people recovered of the virus taking the total recovery to 13340 while total active cases in Jamshedpur are 1332.
The district administration spokesperson informed that 48 corona positives have been identified in the East Singhbhum district on Tuesday. East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 87303 test per million in the district. The mortality rate in East Singhbhum district is 2.2 % while recovery rate has climbed to 89%.
In Jharkhand 7 people died of the virus while 701 were reported positive on Tuesday. Ranchi reported maximum 364 positive cases. Four from Ranchi, 2 from Dhanbad and 1 from Chatra succumbed to the virus.
The death toll has reached 805 while positive tally has reached 93,736 of which 85314 people have recovered including 853 on Tuesday. The active cases are 7617.
