4 ultras arrested from Gumla, weapons seized

Ranchi, April 12 Jharkhand’s Gumla Police has arrested four TPC militants.

Weapons including gun, bullet and mobile have been recovered from them.

Recently, they had beaten up the workers engaged in the construction work of the bridge being built on the North Koel river of Gumla and kept them hostage. Leaving the form, a levy of Rs 25 lakh was demanded. The police took it seriously and formed a team and arrested them.

Those arrested include Keshwar Lohra (36 years), resident of Chorkakhand of Gurdari police station, Heera Oraon (36 years), resident of Sugitoli of Gumla police station, Naika Oraon alias Chhotu (24 years), resident of Duko of Ghaghra police station, and Lakhiram Oraon (35 years) have been arrested by the police.

Police have recovered four 315 bore rifles, 86 8 mm bullets, two magazines, two pistols and three mobile phones from these militants.

Gumla Police had also formed SIT under the leadership of SDPO Gumla Suresh Prasad Yadav to arrest the terrorists. After this, the police raided and arrested these four militants.

These four militants were earlier in CPI Maoist. Later these people went to JJMP. Here, a few months ago these people joined TPC organization.
