Jamshedpur, Feb 19: The 32nd Sri Shyam Mahotsav will be organized at Sakchi Shiv Mandir on Tuesday, February 23 under the joint aegis of Sakchi Shiv Mandir committee and Shri Shyam Parivar. Preparations are on in full swing for hosting the religious function. A meeting of the temple committee was held on Friday in the Shiv Mandir complex that was presided by Umesh Sah.
Umesh Sah stated that in view of the COVID protocols, the traditional Nishaan Yatra or procession will not be taken out this year. He appealed to devotees to pay obeisance to the deity by forming queues. He stated in the press meet that the entire temple complex and Shyam Baba’s throne would be decorated with flowers and the main attractions of the Mahotsav will be the celestial decoration, Chhappan Bhog (56 items of food and fruits for consecration by nthe Lord), Akhand Jyot and the Sankirtan programme.
Briefing the media Umesh Sah said programme of bhajans will commence from 9 pm on February 23. The songs will be rendered by bhajan singer from Jaipur Avinash Sharma and Jamshedpur’s popular Mahavir Agrawal.
