Jamshedpur: To mark the 364th Prakash Utsav of Shiromani Shaheed Baba Jivan Singh Ji, around 300 devotees from Tatanagar, will travel to Amritsar, Punjab, to participate in the Nagar Kirtan organised under the banner of Rangreta Mahasabha. The Chetna March will commence from Jamshedpur on September 1 and join the Nagar Kirtan from Jallianwala Bagh to Darbar Sahib. Devotees are scheduled to return on September 10.
At a general meeting held today at Tinplate Khalsa Club, State President of Rangreta Mahasabha Manjit Singh announced that this will be the fifth consecutive year of participation. He expressed happiness over the growing enthusiasm of the Sangat and assured that more devotees will be encouraged to take part in the future. He also informed that arrangements have been made for langar at different stations during the train journey, accommodation has been provided by Darbar Sahib, and buses have been arranged for local travel in Punjab.
The meeting was marked by addresses and acknowledgements. Manjit Singh delivered the welcome speech, the proceedings were conducted by Sukhdev Singh Mittu, program details were shared by Sahib Singh, and the vote of thanks was given by Amrit Singh.
Several dignitaries and community leaders including Kundan Singh, Jasbir Singh, Kartar Singh, Rajendra Singh, Gurdayal Singh Mananwal, Kashmir Singh Cheema, Paramjeet Singh Roshan, Chotu Paji, Ranjeet Singh, Fauji Mansingh Touila, Satnam Kaur, Geeta Kaur, Balwinder Kaur, Kiran Deep Kaur, Jasbir Kaur (Sito), Baby Kaur, Charan Jeet Kaur, Harjeet Kaur, Rani Kaur, and Sindo Kaur were present on the occasion.
