300 attend Bahuda Rath Yatra at Gua


Gua, July 1: Lord Jagannath and his siblings, Goddess Shubhadra and Lord Balabhadra, returned from their aunt’s place to Jagannath Temple on Wednesday, July 1.
This journey is known as Bahuda Yatra. Nine days after the Rath Yatra, the Bahuda Yatra or the return journey takes place.
SAIL Gua Chief General Manager (Mines) Bipin Kumar Giri and Mahila Samiti President Smita Giri were present during the celebration. After the Havan Pujan, Bipin Kumar Giri swept the Mausi Bari temple area to become Lord’s servant in the role of the king. After the Aarti Pujan, the chariot headed towards Jagannath Temple.
About 300 people of Gua were present during the festival. On the occasion, CGM Bipin Kumar Giri told about glory of Lord Jagannath to the devotees.
CGM Giri said, Prabhu’s Rath Yatra is a community festival. The magnificent splendor and grand display of faith during the Rath Yatra festival of Prabhu is rare in the world.
Under the leadership of Mahila Samiti President Smita Giri, dozens of members of SAIL officials, people of Gua were present.
