30 Carmel Community College students clear diploma in Office Management

Jamshedpur, June 25: The Graduation Ceremony of the 4th Batch of the 1-year Diploma in Office Management students of Carmel Community College, Jamshedpur was held on 25th June 2019 at Sacred Heart Convent School.

30 students were awarded their Diplomas.

Ashok Bhalotia, President, Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry was the Chief Guest. Dr. Sr. Doris D’Souza A.C., Provincial Superior, Northern Province of the Apostolic Cannel Society of India and Director of Cannel Community Colleges, India was the Guest of Honour.

Sr. Rashmita A.C. Principal, Sacred Heart Convent School, Sr. Valsa A.C., Co-ordinator, Carmel Community College and Vice Principal, Sacred Heart Convent School, parents of the graduating students, students of the next batch, teachers and students of Sacred Heart Convent School, Jamshedpur were present during the ceremony.

The course prepares students for Office Assistant jobs and includes the following subjects: Basic Computers, Accounting, TALLY, Communication Skills, Functional English and Life Skills.

10 students from this batch have already got employed at the following organisations: Loyola School, Bistupur, St. Mary’s English High School, Bistupur; Triveni Engicons Pvt. Ltd., Bistupur, iPOD Hotel, Sakchi; Ideal Imaging, Sakchi, Travel Line; Bistupur; Arti Indian and Mansarovar Logistics Pvt. Ltd. C.H Area.

Carmel Community College is run by the Apostolic Carmel Sisters with the aim of imparting professional training to underprivileged women. The 1-year Diploma Course in Office Management was started in July 2015. The course also offers a credit course on Event Management. The 5th batch for which admissions are currently going on will start on July 2018.
