3 killed, over dozen injured in bus-truck collision in Jharkhand’s Palamu

Palamu, Jan 3: Three people were killed and over a dozen were injured after a head-on collision took place between a bus and a truck in Palamu district on Friday morning.

According to Palamu police, the accident occurred on the Kasiadih-Bakoria road, 30 km from Medininagar, the district headquarters, when a truck collided with the bus due to dense fog and low visibility.

Sub divisional police officer (SDPO) Mediniagar Mani Bhusan Prasad said, “Truck driver was killed at the accident site, and more than 15 passengers were injured in the collision.”

The SDPO further added the injured with help of locals were rushed to Tumbagada Hospital for medical care while two with fatal injuries were rushed to Rajendra Institute of Medical Science (RIMS) in Ranchi.

The officer further added that the bus was on its way to Ranchi from Medininagar when the accident occurred.
