3 criminals involved in Jamshedpur shootout nabbed

Jamshedpur, July 16: Police has solved the shootout that took place near Latif Baba’s house in Jawaharnagar Road No. 9 of Mango police station area.

Police has arrested three accused involved in the incident within 24 hours. The arrested accused include Shahid Ali alias Kala Babu, Md. Mehboob alias Tiku and Faisal Akhtar alias Alfi. Three country-made pistols, 13 live cartridges and one empty shell have been recovered from them.

This incident is of Tuesday night, 15th July when unknown criminals fired at Md. Ali, a resident of Jawahar Nagar Road No. 8 of Mango, with the intention of killing him. Although the firing could not be confirmed at that time, but taking the information seriously, a special team was formed on the instructions of the Senior Superintendent of Police. In the quick action taken by the Deputy Superintendent of Police (Headquarters, West) under the leadership of the team, all the three accused were nabbed.

Police investigation has revealed that this attack was the result of mutual dispute. On the application of plaintiff Mohammad Ali, a case has been registered in Mango police station under section 109(1)/3(5) BNS and 27 Arms Act of the Indian Justice Code.

Police say that several criminal cases are already registered against all the accused and further investigation is being done seriously in view of their criminal history. At the same time, the search for other absconding criminals in this case is also going on.
