6091 administered Covid-19 vaccine in East Singhbhum
Jamshedpur, March 20: The daily detection of new coronavirus positive cases has again taken the upward trend in Jamshedpur.
No COVID-19 death has been reported in the East Singhbhum district as the death toll remains at 375, but active cases which fell below the 100 mark are again beginning to rise. The active cases in Jamshedpur are 134 with 27 new positives reported on Saturday, March 20.
On Saturday, East Singhbhum district reported 27 corona positive cases while 12 people recovered of the virus.
The new positives in Jamshedpur took the Coronavirus tally to 18481. 12 people recovered of the virus on Saturday taking the total recovery to 17972 while total active cases in Jamshedpur are 134.
East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 225301 test per million in the district. The recovery rate in Jamshedpur is 97.39% while the mortality rate is 2.03 %.
So far in Jamshedpur 610434 samples have been collected out of which 599750 have been tested and 581269 have turned out to be negative.
On the other hand, six-day Covid-19 vaccination drive as per the directives of health department of Jharkhand government began in East Singhbhum district’s panchayat level on Saturday.
The vaccination drive will be held on 20, 21, 23, 24, 26 and 27 March in various centres across the district. Total of 6091 people were administered vaccine at 65 centres of East Singhbhum district on Saturday.
