Over 47,000 students to appear for matric and intermediate exams
45 centres for Matric, 23 Intermediate exam centers to be set up
Jamshedpur: A total of 47,636 students from the district are set to appear for the upcoming JAC Matriculation and Intermediate Annual Examinations 2025. This includes 25,380 candidates for the Matriculation examination and 22,256 for the Intermediate examination, spread across Arts, Science, and Commerce streams.
To finalize arrangements for these crucial examinations, a meeting was held at the Collectorate Auditorium under the chairmanship of District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal. The meeting was attended by ADM Law and Order Aniket Sachan, SDM Dhalbhum Shatabdi Majumdar, City SP Kumar Shivashish, representatives of MPs and MLAs, and various education department officials and association representatives.
In terms of logistics, 45 examination centers for Matriculation and 23 for Intermediate have been designated in the Dhalbhum subdivision, while 26 Matriculation and 12 Intermediate centers have been identified in the Ghatsila subdivision. Additionally, Central Karimia High School, Sakchi, has been proposed as the examination center for Madrasa candidates.
The Deputy Commissioner highlighted key measures to ensure the smooth and secure conduct of the examinations. Strong room cum control rooms will be established at both sub-divisional headquarters for the safekeeping of examination materials. Question papers will be stored in nationalized banks near the examination centers, and static magistrates, along with male and female constables, will be deployed at each center to maintain law and order.
Flying squads and zonal magistrates will oversee the safe transportation of question papers to the centers and the return of sealed answer sheets to the strong rooms. These measures are aimed at ensuring the integrity and transparency of the examination process.
With meticulous planning and collaboration between district officials, law enforcement, and education stakeholders, the district is poised to conduct the examinations in a fair and efficient manner, benefiting the thousands of students preparing to take this important step in their academic journeys.
