Ghatshila, November 12: A total of 1,164 polling personnel are set to manage the voting process for 250,295 voters across 291 booths in the Ghatshila assembly constituency on Wednesday. Female voters, numbering 127,319, outnumber their male counterparts by approximately 4,345 and have shown a higher level of voting awareness.
To ensure a peaceful election, the administration has divided the constituency into 42 sectors and 41 clusters. Voting will close at 4 p.m. at 23 booths, with the remaining polling stations staying open until 5 p.m.
As per the Election Commission’s directive, candidate agents must set up tents at least 200 meters from the polling stations. Marks have been made with lime to designate this boundary around polling stations in Ghatshila block. Agents are prohibited from marking or naming candidates on slips provided to voters.
